Martin has been demonstrating at Sandon Woodturners in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
During his last demo he made a couple of clocks, as shown on the photos on this page. The first clock was turned from a bar and consisted of a base and an onion shaped part that held the clock. Martin took particular care about the unusual shape of the part that held the clock.
The second clock was inserted off-centre in a circular disc suspended in a form of gimbal as shown on the photo. As decoration to the wood Martin had elected to add a very light and discrete shade of red, spayed with an air gun. As an added feature he applied a small Japanese symbol from a template. This was carefully applied using gold leaf as shown on the close-up photo.
